How the programme works

Awareness that moves from the classroom into the community.

The competitions are not entertainment added to an awareness event. Students learn the message first, then compete on it, then carry it to their friends and families. Taking part is the awareness programme.

  1. Step 1

    Learn

Awareness material reaches the institution before anything begins.

  2. Step 2

    Take part

Students compete on that material inside their own school or college.

  3. Step 3

    Qualify

Institution rounds lead into the district stage.

  4. Step 4

    Final programme

Recognition, selected reels, and an expert-led awareness session.

  5. Step 5

    Carry it home

Students take the message to their families and neighbours.

EndTheCancer 2026 is being prepared in collaboration with the District Health and Family Welfare Office, Uttara Kannada, and district and taluk health and NCD teams for high school, PU and degree students across the district from 5 to 12 September 2026. District and taluk health members help prepare the questions, verify awareness content, and review competition rules and regulations before the information pack reaches institutions. Ref. DSU/IDSP/2026-27, 17 August 2026.

Calm, credible guidance

Worried about a sign? Start calmly.

Most possible symptoms have ordinary causes. What matters is not letting a change drift unchecked.

Two questions

Find your next step

This does not assess symptoms and cannot tell you whether anything is serious. It points you to one clear next step.

Step 1 of 3

What brings you here?

Urgent? For heavy bleeding, severe pain, or trouble breathing, call108now. This page is awareness information and cannot diagnose anything.

The full awareness guide

Signs worth checking, oral cancer and tobacco, common questions, and where to go in each taluk. Every claim links to Government of India guidance.

How we work

Four commitments we hold ourselves to.

  • No public fundraising

We never collect money from the public or through this website. The campaign is supported by organisations — companies, institutions and community partners — agreed directly.

    How partnership works
  • Verification before publication

Totals and outcomes are published only after review. Anything still being confirmed is labelled as planned.

    See what is verified
  • Students carry the message

Taking part is the awareness programme. Students learn it first, then carry it to their families.

    How the programme works
  • Awareness, never diagnosis

Nothing here can diagnose anything. Content scope follows health guidance and links to Government of India sources.
