EndTheCancer is a public cancer-awareness movement of Team S.O.S. India Foundation. This notice explains what we collect through the pledge, event registration, volunteer, and partner enquiry forms, why we collect it, and how people can control it.

Transparency commitments

  • Public reporting: We publish verified aggregate totals and documented activity, never student names, personal contact details, or individual pledge records.
  • Minimal collection: Forms do not ask for symptoms, diagnosis, medical history, Aadhaar, or other sensitive health information.
  • Consent first: Campaign updates are opt-in. Event registration asks for parent or legal guardian name and consent only for high-school students under 16; other forms state their own consent requirements.
  • Deletion target: After we verify a request, we aim to remove or anonymise matching personal records within 48 hours.
  • No hidden fundraising: EndTheCancer is not a public fundraising platform.

What we collect

  • Pledge: district, optional name, optional email, age group, consent choices, and a confirmation ID.
  • Event registration: student or Reel team-member names, school or college, district, class or grade, education level, activity category, a student or team phone for Reels, coordinator name and phone for institution-led entries, optional coordinator email, age group, and guardian details and consent only where required for high-school students under 16.
  • Institution coordination: institution name and type, taluk, coordinator name, phone, optional email, student group, estimated number, preferred contact method, optional note and consent.
  • Volunteer sign-up: name, taluk, email or phone, age group, availability, the roles you offer, optional school or organisation, optional note, guardian details and consent where required.
  • Institutional or in-kind partner enquiry: organisation name and type, contact name, optional role, email or phone, taluk, optional website, and an optional message. We never collect payment details, amounts, or bank information through this website.
  • Deletion request: confirmation ID or submission email, plus an optional note.

Do not submit symptoms, diagnosis, medical history, Aadhaar, or other sensitive health information. These forms are not medical records.

Why we use it

  • Coordinate EndTheCancer 2026 participation.
  • Contact volunteers about field support and partners about in-kind contributions.
  • Prevent duplicate or invalid entries and verify aggregate totals.
  • Send campaign updates only when a person or coordinator opts in.
  • Respond to deletion and support requests.

We publish verified aggregate totals and documented activity. We do not publish student names, personal contact details, or individual pledge records.

Children and guardian consent

Event registration requires parent or legal guardian name and consent for high-school students under 16. School coordinators should confirm entries with their institution and guardians. Other forms may have separate age and consent rules. We do not knowingly ask children to submit medical information or create public profiles.

Retention schedule

  • Event registration details: until 12 months after the relevant event, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Institution coordination contacts: until 12 months after the relevant campaign cycle, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Contact details used for updates: until consent is withdrawn or 24 months without meaningful campaign contact.
  • Pledge records: up to 24 months after the campaign cycle, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Volunteer sign-ups: until 12 months after the relevant event, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Partner enquiries: up to 24 months after the last contact, then deleted or anonymised.
  • Verified, non-identifying totals and public event documentation may be retained for transparency.
  • Deletion requests and limited audit notes: up to 7 days after completion, unless needed to resolve a dispute.

Important distinction: 48 hours is our target to action a verified deletion request. Limited deletion-request audit notes are retained for up to 7 days after completion, then removed. Aggregate totals without identifying information may remain published, and encrypted backups may retain a temporary copy until normal rotation.

Sharing and security

Access is limited to authorised campaign coordinators and service providers needed to operate the forms. We do not sell personal data. We use access controls, server-side validation, and aggregate reporting. No internet service can promise perfect security.

Registration drafts are saved only in the current browser tab to protect work during a weak connection. Turnstile tokens and spam-trap fields are excluded. The draft is cleared after successful submission and is not sent to analytics.

Privacy-safe analytics

We measure page use, language choice, resource downloads, and aggregate form starts, completions, and failures. Analytics never receives names, emails, phone numbers, confirmation IDs, guardian details, or form contents. Hourly campaign counters are removed after 90 days.

Your choices

You can withdraw update consent or request deletion using your confirmation ID or submission email. If you lost the confirmation ID, email-only requests remain pending until a coordinator verifies them.
